Earlyarts International UnConference - 9 November 2010, Halifax, Yorkshire. SAVE THE DATE!

July 27, 2010 10:10

Here is advanced notice of our forthcoming International UnConference on 9 November at the Square Chapel Centre for the Arts and Eureka! The National Children’s Museum in Halifax.

The event will feature leadership insights from Estelle Morris, formerly Secretary of State for Education and Skills and Minister for the Arts. The UnConference – an event model that turns the traditional conference format on its head - is designed to share and celebrate the best ideas amongst our creative and early years practitioners right across the network, not to be preached at or bored. And Earlyarts wouldn’t be Earlyarts without showcasing some of the most inspiring international practice from our global partners.
Don’t miss this chance for one amazing day to influence the rest of your working life.
Five ways to get involved:
1. Sign In, update your profile and stay informed of the Early Bird bookings.
2. Grow Your Own creative learning sessions. These 1 hour slots are intended to be practical opportunities for you to share your ideas, approaches, case studies and skills with up 25 other professionals. There are 16 creative learning sessions available during the day, for which successful delegates will be offered a free entry to the UnConference. Apply to Grow Your Own here.
3. Book a one-to-one surgery with funders from the national arts, cultural and educational bodies, development agencies, networks, social enterprise and creative marketing experts. You can ‘pitch’ your idea, clarify the new policy landscape, and discover better ways to promote and advocate your creative early years projects. Bookings for 1-2-1 open in the autumn.
4. Expose Yourself – creative practitioners, arts and cultural companies are welcome to book an expo stand to broker partnerships, demonstrate their practice, and build connections with the early years community. Stands are also available for commercial companies. Apply to Expose Yourself here.
5. Have Your Big Say – tell us what the most important issues are for you right now. We’ll make sure the Top Ten issues are featured during the day, and help bring opportunities, partnerships and inspiration to back you up through the challenging times ahead. Have Your Big Say here.
