Arcadea is the lead cultural development organisation promoting Deaf and Disability Equality in Art and Culture in the North East of England, and supporting Deaf and Disability Arts. After six years leading the organisation, Vici Wreford-Sinnott has now moved on to set up her own creative company. Arcadea is seeking a dynamic individual with vision and a proven track record in arts management to take the organisation into its next phase of development. The organisation has a strategic plan in place incorporating working at a range of levels, from both artistic and development perspectives.
The successful applicant will:
• have at least three years experience working in a senior management role
• up to date knowledge of Disability Arts and Disability Equality in the Arts
• be fully conversant with Equality legislation and various models of disability;
• possess high levels of personal organisation
• be an advocate and have strong negotiation skills
• have solid organisational management experience
The post will be based at ARCADEA’S Newcastle City Centre Office base. The post is offered as a full time post and is open to job share.
Personal experience of disability is essential.
