Thursday 12th August at 8am (8:30am start) until 10:30am at the Constructing Excellence North East (CENE) Offices in Durham.
This event is FREE and bacon sandwiches will be provided!

Join the Heritage Skills Initiative for a chance to hear about the Managed Industry Accreditation route for the Heritage CSCS card which closes at the end of September, the traditional skills bursary scheme, and working towards getting yourself and your workforce accredited to work on historic buildings.

The MIA route or ‘Grandfather rights’ route to becoming accredited to work on historic structures closes on September 31st. If you leave it after this date you will need a Level 3 Heritage NVQ which can be achieved through on- site assessment and training.

Find out more at the Heritage Contractors’ Breakfast 12th August 2010 at the CENE office in Belmont Business Park, Durham.

Speakers at the event include representation from English heritage, the traditional skills bursary scheme, constructionskills and CENE, as well as Learning and Skills Manager at North of England Civic Trust, Andie Harris.

“This event presents an invaluable opportunity to have your questions answered about CSCS cards, bursaries, and the soon to close MIA route. I cannot stress how important it is for those eligible for the MIA route who have yet to submit their applications to come to this event to find out more about the application process.”
Andie Harris, Learning and Skills Manager, North of England Civic Trust.
