July 15, 2010 10:49

The British Interactive Group (BIG) Event 2010 is a conference for everyone who works in science centres, museums and cultural attractions. Improve your own practice, join the most important discussions of the science communication current agenda, and form a network of science communication professionals.

21 - 23 July 2010, Centre for Life
£295 - Full conference package
£125 - 1 day package

This year’s programme is based on the theme of “Parallel Worlds”, where STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) communicators can learn from other sectors – as well as contribute to other organisations.
The 2010 Event will feature its trademark mix of professional development, opportunities to debate the future of the sector through targeted discussion, the best science shows currently travelling the UK circuit and a range of sessions designed to strengthen delegates and their organisations.

New for 2010 will be the introduction of Masterclasses, where delegates will have the opportunity to join others to work intensively on 5 subjects: finding funding, evaluating programmes, developing science shows, making props and exhibits, and public engagement. There will also be targeted sessions for those new to science communication.
