Inspirations Conference - January 2010
To start 2010 off
with a bang, we are excited to be able to present this inspiring
event which will no doubt be a fantastic opportunity for
anyone working with children and young people with special needs,
to come and learn some new techniques and skills, meet like-minded
practitioners and hear about some of the latest work being done in
this field.

Sage Gateshead is holding a special weekend of music and birthday events
from Thursday 17th to Sunday 20th December.
Volunteer Management Programme opens for Expressions
of Interest Capacitybuilders has released details of how
it intends to build on its existing investment through the Office of the
Third Sector funded Volunteer Management programme.
New right to request time to train The new
right will work by giving employees a legal right to ask to give them time
away from their normal duties to undertake training that they believe will
improve their performance and that or the business.

Musical Insprirations A two day conference
in January 2010 for anyone working with children or young people with
special needs.
Regional Singing Squads As the
regional singing squad sessions proved to be so successful this term, more
dates are currently being penciled for the Spring Term. Full details of
all the sessions will be posted on the MusicLeader website as soon as
possible, and details will also feature in next month's e-bulletin so
watch this space!
Percussion and Drumming Leaders Network day - new
date confirmed A new date for the
postponed Percussion and Drumming Leaders Network day has
now been set, and it will take place on Saturday 6th March. Full
details are currently being confirmed so pleae keep your eye on the
MusicLeader website and let us know if you would like to
attend.

workshop which is suitable for teachers, vocal leaders and singers of all

Stage Accessible singing material for all practitioners
working with EYFS.
An Introduction to Musical Futures A
comprehensive, practical introduction to Musical Futures which should
enable teachers to begin implementing it in their classrooms/teaching
situations.
Music and Singing For Children with Autistic
Spectrum Disorder and Other Special Needs This one day
workshop aims to equip participants with both the skills and the
confidence to use music and singing in the classroom working with children
with special educational needs.
Musical Futures In Practice 1 For
those already running Musical Futures, this course aims to provide an
in-depth exploration of the informal learning model.
Beginners Conducting A practical
session developing simple beating patterns and preparation of score and
songs.
