The importance of fashion in the UK economy
Last month we held a Fashion Roundtable discussion, which addressed skill shortages in the sector, the weak relationships between fashion designers and UK manufacturers, and the role of government in the fashion sector. Keynote speakers included Barbara Follett MP, Minister for Culture, Creative Industries and Tourism; Wendy Malem, Dean of International and Enterprise Development, Centre for Fashion Enterprise; and Hilary Riva, CEO, British Fashion Council.
